FAQ & Testimonials
Frequently Asked Questions
I’m completely new to yoga so what should I expect?
Each class begins with a simple warm up and stretches before we head into our poses (asanas) and breathing (pranayama) followed by a guided Savasana or relaxation to set you on your way. Sometimes there will be a short meditation too.
Do you need to be flexible and fit?
Anyone can do yoga and feel the benefits with regular practice. You will discover that you will become more supple and stronger as your body adapts to YOUR variation of yoga.
What do I need to bring with me and what should I wear?
Loose, comfy clothing that doesn’t ride up would be perfect. I would recommend purchasing a yoga mat which can be bought quite cheaply. Any mat that is suitable for yoga or pilates would be ideal but nothing air-filled as it would slip. I would suggest buying 2 yoga blocks and a yoga strap though you could bring a dressing gown belt or similar.
Do bring some water and a blanket for your relaxation also. A small towel can be useful to put under your knees for certain poses.
